The legend of the most famous vampire
Hardly any other figure in literary history has shaped our idea of vampires as much as Count Dracula. The character created by Bram Stoker is still regarded today as the epitome of the mysterious prince of the night. Vlad III, a 15th century Wallachian ruler whose nickname “Drăculea” later became the name of the character in the novel, is often cited as a possible inspiration for the character. Whether historical model or literary legend – Dracula has long since become one of the most famous figures in world literature.
A vampire with surprisingly little bite
VLAD has all the ingredients of a classic Dracula appearance: red pupils, pointed teeth, a dark cape and small black wings that are vaguely reminiscent of a bat. But instead of instilling fear, this ODD BIRDS looks rather endearingly eccentric. The short wings hardly seem suitable for long night flights and the slightly crooked beak takes all the fright out of it. The luminous glass body in intense red-violet and amber shades may be reminiscent of the dramatic appearance of a vampire, but a second glance will make it clear that this Count Dracula would rather entertain than frighten.
For fans of the unusual
VLAD will delight lovers of fantastic stories, collectors of ODD BIRDS and anyone who enjoys unusual characters. The light object unfolds its very own charm, especially in the evening hours: the glass body, which glows in warm tones, sets an effective accent in the garden or on the patio and creates a cozy atmosphere instead of a creepy one. Anyone who appreciates humor and original design will find VLAD an unusual and unmistakable companion. VLAD is also a fantastic eye-catcher for Halloween!
