Borowski Summer Festival 2026
Borowski Summer Festival 2026
What a Safari!
August 21–23, 2026 | Wintermühlenhof, Königswinter
For three days, the Borowski Park was transformed into a safari backdrop – full of glass art, surprising encounters, and extraordinary discoveries. Our biggest thanks go to everyone who joined us on safari. The many visitors, conversations, and great enthusiasm for our glass art made this Summer Festival truly special. Enjoy our photo review!

On a Glass Art Safari
With a Jeep and safari tent, the setting was perfect – and unusual encounters awaited everywhere. Between GONZOs by the campfire, tropical birds at the waterfall, and impressive “big game,” there was plenty to discover and photograph. At the wheel? Of course, two ODD BIRDS: FREDDY and ELTON.
The Cactus Forest
Cacti under mighty plane trees? On our safari, this was no contradiction. Between the old giant trees stood metal cacti, densely populated with the luminous characters of the ODD BIRDS Edition. A wonderful contrast – and visitors constantly discovered new objects.
In the Wild
Between streams, mossy rocks, ferns, and old trees, our animal glass objects felt visibly at home. Sometimes well hidden, sometimes hard to miss, they appeared everywhere in the park – almost as if they had always belonged there. So, those on safari had to expect surprising encounters.
Up Close and Personal
You’ll search in vain for “Please do not touch” at the Borowski Summer Festival. Here, you were encouraged to look closely, touch, and, of course, photograph. After all, a safari is most fun when you get up close to the extraordinary inhabitants.
In the Insect House
In 1905, the first insectarium in a German zoo opened in Cologne Zoo; just one year later, the historic Weiherhalle at Wintermühlenhof was built. At the 2026 Summer Festival, these two stories met: CLEO, JUMPER, AMY, and a whole swarm of hovering BUGZEEs transformed the Weiherhalle into our very own insect house. And FIGARO already had his eye on the little flying objects.
Sudden Rain
And then the heavens opened. But while the band quickly moved indoors and umbrellas were put up, the mood and good spirits remained undiminished. Our weatherproof outdoor objects took the downpour calmly anyway – and glowed almost even more beautifully against the dark rainy backdrop.
For Eyes, Ears & Palate
Even away from the safari, there was plenty to discover and enjoy. Live music provided the right atmosphere, while warm food and cool drinks offered refreshment. Coffee and cake were available at the Inner Wheel Club Bonn-Bad Godesberg stand – for a good cause. And, of course, there was plenty of time to browse, chat, and talk shop about glass art.
The Next Party is Already in Sight!
Our penguins apparently already know the way. So that you don't miss the next date, sign up for our newsletter or have the invitation to the Summer Festival sent to your home via postcard.
