Legal Warranty
All of our products are covered by the statutory legal warranty.
If a defect that already existed at the time of delivery becomes apparent, you are entitled to the statutory warranty rights applicable under the relevant law. Such defects may include, for example, material- or manufacturing-related stress cracks in the glass, defective bonding, or other production-related defects.
If you believe your product is affected, please contact our customer service before returning the item. We will coordinate the next steps with you.
To assess the defect, it may be necessary for our Glass Studio to inspect the product. Where a valid warranty claim exists, the defect will be remedied in accordance with the applicable legal provisions by either repairing the product or providing a replacement.
The statutory legal warranty does not cover damage caused, for example, by improper handling, dropping, impact, normal wear and tear, or other external influences.

What you should know
Use & material
A Safe Location for Your Object
Glass is a material that is sensitive to stress and temperature.
Strong temperature changes, frost, direct sunlight and mechanical stress can cause stress in the glass.
Standing or freezing water in openings can cause damage. Exposure to intense heat, e.g. from open fires or candles, should also be avoided.
A protected location and careful handling contribute significantly to the long lifespan of your Borowski glass object.
Weight & bonded glass parts
Many Borowski objects consist of several glass parts that are permanently bonded together with a special UV adhesive.
Due to the thickness of the material, our objects are comparatively heavy.
Please note:
- Always lift and carry the object by its sturdy main body.
- Do not lift or carry the object by protruding parts such as the eyes, beak, tail or crown.
Care
The velvety, shimmering surface is a defining feature of our glass objects. Glass is naturally a durable and low-maintenance material. With Borowski objects, the color is embedded in the glass itself – it can therefore neither weather nor fade.
In den meisten Fällen genügt es, Staub mit einem weichen, leicht feuchten Tuch zu entfernen.
In most cases, it is sufficient to remove dust with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Plenty of clean water
- Standard glass cleaner
- Denatured alcohol or a limescale remover for mineral deposits
Please avoid:
abrasive cleaning agents, aggressive chemicals, as well as rough sponges or brushes. These can damage the surface.
Additional protection for outdoor objects
For Borowski outdoor objects, we recommend applying a standard silicone spray after cleaning.
The spray creates a water-repellent protective film on the surface, reduces new soiling, and restores a fresh, glossy appearance to the glass.
Replacing light sources in Outdoor Objects
In our outdoor light objects, standard, readily available light sources are used:
⇒ E14 for most objects
⇒ E27 e.g. for FROG and CRUSTY
⇒ GU10 e.g. for RHINO and CROCO
On most models, the light source is replaced from below:
1. Place the object on a soft surface (e.g. lawn or blanket)
2. Unscrew the feet
3. Replace the light source
Suitable are energy-saving, halogen and LED light sources, as well as conventional incandescent bulbs up to a maximum of 40 watts.
Bonding
Many Borowski objects consist of several glass elements that are permanently joined using a special UV adhesive. These bonded joints are designed for long-term use; the unintentional detachment of individual parts is the exception.
If a bond should nevertheless come loose and neither the glass body nor the detached part is damaged, the object can usually be reassembled by the owner.
The appropriate adhesive (AP universal acrylate adhesive) can be ordered separately. We will be happy to provide the relevant supplier details on request.
For improved adhesion, the affected glass surfaces can be lightly roughened with sandpaper (grit 120–240).
If in doubt, we are happy to advise you in advance on whether a self-repair makes sense.
Repair
Whether it’s a loosened bond, a stress crack or broken glass: we will of course do our best to bring your cherished object back to life. As long as there is no complete total loss, it is often worthwhile to have a repair assessed by our experienced glassmakers. Many types of damage can be professionally evaluated, explained – and quite often repaired.
Here you can submit your repair request to us free of charge and without obligation. Based on your details and the information provided, we will carefully review the situation in the glass studio and determine the next steps.
Specifically, we will clarify for you:
- whether the issue is covered by the statutory legal warranty,
- whether the object can be repaired or needs to be replaced,
- whether any required replacement parts are available immediately or need to be manufactured,
- whether transport damage requires us to contact the shipping carrier,
- what repair and shipping costs, if any, may apply.
After submitting the form, please allow up to 5 working days for us to review your request together with the glass studio and get back to you with a concrete proposal.
