Mixolo Lamp: table lamps for feel-good light
Symbiosis of the gifts of nature, figurative design and emotions
“Everything that finds a hold in our network of senses touches us and we can feel it.”
Stani Jan Borowski
The MIXOLO table lamps are more than just a stylised interpretation of a motif, more than just an object that lights up. It’s about sensual experiences that touch us and the emotions that arise from them. Beekeepers, farmers and distillers all take the fruits of nature and use them to create their own products. The beekeeper harvests honey, propolis and wax. Citrus fruit growers collect limes for the production of juice or jam. Figs are distilled into delicious dessert wines. Even the thought of the fruits of their labour triggers emotions in us: A sense of well-being through fragrances, colours and memories. Emotions that arise from contact with the gifts of nature and can be recalled forever in our memory. Memories of the flavour of sweet honey, sour limes or fragrant figs seem to radiate from the lamps. Enjoy the perfection of glass art, revel in the comfort of the colours and experience the same tranquillity that the beekeeper needs for his work.
MIXOLO LAMP: Table lamps with a fascinating play of colours
The artfully crafted MIXOLO table lamps display a fascinating interplay of colours. The different grain sizes and strengths of the glass granules used conjure up a pattern on the voluminous vessel in which the light source is located. This creates a beautiful structure of irregular, large and fine dots of colour on the lamp glass, reminiscent of honeycombs or the colouring of fruit. The glass container is topped off with a subtle stripe that breaks through this structure and visually holds the container together like a basket. The light intensifies the play of colours, which catches the viewer’s eye.
Elaborately designed table lamp in 3 different motifs
The mix is what gives these extraordinary objects their name. The design of the table lamp consists of a classic container combined with typical Borowski shapes and faces. The icing on the cake: an adorably designed bee on the figure’s hat.
The light source is mounted in such a way that the bulb is only visible when you lean directly over the lamp. The LED is at an angle and illuminates the entire object. The light therefore also illuminates the figure and subtly emphasises details such as the lips on the head.
