TAWNY | LIGHT OBJECT OWL

Some find it eerie, for others it is a symbol of wisdom. There is hardly an animal that has fascinated mankind for thousands of years and that is the subject of as many legends as the owl. And there is hardly any other Borowski object that wins as many sympathies as TAWNY. When this special owl glows in the dark, young and old alike are fascinated.

What is TAWNY's secret?
We'll tell you.

3 reasons why TAWNY is so popular:

1. TAWNY has Charisma

TAWNY has virtually invented the term "ambience".

Whether you offer your owl as a habitat an old masonry, a bush or a place by the fireplace or in the winter garden, TAWNY will spread there its special mood or aura. As a nocturnal animal, the owl prefers shady places. This is also where TAWNY's charisma comes into its own, because it can shine beautifully there.

2. TAWNY and TAWNY FAT are thick as thieves.

While their living role models like to be loners, TAWNY is thick with her best buddy TAWNY FAT.

TAWNY

TAWNY FAT

TAWNY & TAWNY FAT in white – the popular light-up owls by Borowski in the sculpture park in Andernach.

TAWNY and TAWNY FAT like to go out together, either uniformly colored in a partner look or individually in amber or white, just as the mood takes them.

But sometimes they amaze even the connoisseurs: Occasionally our owls leave their habitat in the countryside and find themselves cool at festivals or in stylish surroundings.

3. TAWNY also fits on your bedside table

TAWNY and TAWNY FAT are explicitly designed for year-round outdoor use, but of course there's nothing wrong with giving your owl a warm spot in your living room. Due to the size and girth of the two owls, they are well suited as floor lamps.

You prefer a smaller object as a table lamp?

There is a solution for this as well:

Manual Work

A Fusion of Tradition, Craftsmanship and Innovation

Exclusive glass art from the Borowski glass factory

Each object shown here reflects the craftsmanship of our glassmakers. What appears lighthearted, playful, and full of color is in fact created through a demanding and often physically challenging production process. Today, only a small number of people and glass studios worldwide still master the traditional art of glassmaking.

At the Borowski Glass Studio, nearly all known techniques of hot and cold glassworking can be applied. This exceptional range of possibilities allows our artists to continuously develop new ideas and bring even highly ambitious, experimental visions to life in glass.

The brothers Stani-Jan, Wiktor, and Pawel Borowski learned to work with the blowpipe and molten glass from the ground up. While Wiktor primarily oversees sales, Pawel and Stani-Jan still work daily at the furnace in the glass studio themselves.

As each object is mouth-blown and traditionally handcrafted, slight variations in color, shape, and size are unavoidable. Small air inclusions in the glass are characteristic features of genuine handcrafted studio glass and should not be regarded as flaws, but rather as signs of its individual production process.

Studio Line

STUDIO LINE

More than a work of art ...

The objects in the STUDIO LINE collection transport the unmistakable artistic features and qualities of Borowski production into daily life. But they do not want to be satisfied with pure art at all: They are also candlesticks, fruit bowls, vases or paperweights.

They represent the vibrant, open art concept that is so typical for the work of the Borowski brothers. It goes without saying that each object from the STUDIO LINE is an individual piece and has been handmade with a great deal of love and attention to detail.
