Description

An elephant with a sense of design

BEN combines the clarity of a design object with the charm of an adorable elephant. The tapered, elliptical shape, the frosted, solid glass feet and the bright colors evoke associations with the colorful retro design of the 1970s without appearing nostalgic. The ear, trunk and eye are reduced to a few lines and yet give BEN a friendly, almost cute facial expression. The longer you look at him, the more personality there seems to be in this unusual shell.

Bowl, sculpture and color accent at the same time

Whether as a fruit bowl on the dining table, as a decorative vessel on a sideboard or as a stand-alone glass object – BEN is versatile. Its compact shape is suitable for most pieces of furniture, yet it is large enough to create a remarkable presence. The generous opening offers space for fruit, flowers or seasonal arrangements. At the same time, the high-quality glass unfolds its special effect in the light: the color, transparency and surface structure change depending on the location and time of day.

For lovers of expressive design

Anyone who opts for BEN wants to consciously use color as a design element. The blue or red glass surfaces set striking accents and give the object a special presence in the room. At the same time, the bowl impresses with its clear, stylized design language. Design enthusiasts often discover a touch of retro aesthetics in it, while others simply appreciate its likeable elephant character. In this way, BEN combines decorative effect, timeless design and practical use in a way that transcends short-lived trends.

A Fusion of Tradition, Craftsmanship and Innovation

Exclusive glass art from the Borowski glass factory

Each object shown here reflects the craftsmanship of our glassmakers. What appears lighthearted, playful, and full of color is in fact created through a demanding and often physically challenging production process. Today, only a small number of people and glass studios worldwide still master the traditional art of glassmaking.

At the Borowski Glass Studio, nearly all known techniques of hot and cold glassworking can be applied. This exceptional range of possibilities allows our artists to continuously develop new ideas and bring even highly ambitious, experimental visions to life in glass.

The brothers Stani-Jan, Wiktor, and Pawel Borowski learned to work with the blowpipe and molten glass from the ground up. While Wiktor primarily oversees sales, Pawel and Stani-Jan still work daily at the furnace in the glass studio themselves.

As each object is mouth-blown and traditionally handcrafted, slight variations in color, shape, and size are unavoidable. Small air inclusions in the glass are characteristic features of genuine handcrafted studio glass and should not be regarded as flaws, but rather as signs of its individual production process.

Studio Line

STUDIO LINE

More than a work of art ...

The objects in the STUDIO LINE collection transport the unmistakable artistic features and qualities of Borowski production into daily life. But they do not want to be satisfied with pure art at all: They are also candlesticks, fruit bowls, vases or paperweights.

They represent the vibrant, open art concept that is so typical for the work of the Borowski brothers. It goes without saying that each object from the STUDIO LINE is an individual piece and has been handmade with a great deal of love and attention to detail.
