A friend for all occasions

A public favorite that spreads good mood

Gonzo is a colorful bird from remote exotic countries. After flying thousands of miles, he’ll be happy to rest in your beautiful home or garden. Let him keep you company on warm spring days or on clear winter mornings. You will see, you can’t help but smile! Because GONZO is one of the audience favorites at the Borowski exhibitions. He climbs the trees, hangs upside down from the branch, sits cheekily on tables or napkin stacks and actually appears wherever you don’t expect him.

The object features at a glance:

Height: 37 cm
Width (from the tip of the beak to the tip of the tail): 25 cm
Depth: 20 cm
Colors, each with stripes: blue, olive, orange, red-orange and lime green
Materials: blown glass, steel
Collection: Outdoor Objects
Handcrafted, each glass object is unique

Humorous glass art for home and garden

We lovingly named him GONZO and over the years there have been more and more. The mischievous looking fantasy birds made of glass have become one of the crowd favourites at Borowski exhibitions. The GONZO glass object is available in different sizes and colors, with and without light. To give you an overview, we have summarized the entire gonzology for you here.

The Famous Relatives

ODD BIRDS

Some family members have gone quite far and have world-famous names. The fact that these are all FAT GONZOs is pure coincidence.

BIG GONZO Specials

On very rare occasions, BIG GONZO special editions also gather around the rock and settle down for a short time. Their distinctive "wild stripe" plumage makes them easy to spot among the year-round birds.

BIG GONZO Specials love the big stage, so our events are the most likely to spot a few specimens. The best thing to do is to quickly sign up for our newsletter. Then you'll always know what's going on, when and where.

GONZO Rock | Park Gut Wintermühlenhof, Königswinter

The GONZO rock

Numerous gonzos have settled on the rocks by the wildly romantic waterfall in the Gut Wintermühlenhof park in Königswinter. During our annual open-air summer exhibition, visitors are also allowed into the park, which is privately owned. Then the gonzos shine in the shade of the tall deciduous trees while curiously eyeing the passers-by.

Drop by and have a look!

Manual Work

Exclusive Glass Art from Borowski Glassworks: Tradition, Craftsmanship, and Innovation Combined

Each object shown here embodies the craftsmanship of our glassmakers. Behind each of the objects that appear so light, cheerful and colorful is a complex, often sweaty manufacturing process. Today only a few people or manufactories master the old, demanding craft of the glassmaker.

In the Borowski Glass Studio you can work with almost all known techniques of cold and hot glass processing - this enables the artists to realize challenging visions and constant new, experimental ideas.

The three brothers Stani-Jan, Wiktor and Pawel Borowski learned how to use the glass pipe and the glowing material from scratch. While Wiktor mainly takes care of sales, Pawel and Stani-Jan work in the factory on site every day at the glass furnace.

Mouth-blown and traditionally handcrafted glass objects may have minor color and shape deviations that are unavoidable for manufacturing reasons. Air inclusions in the glass are a sign of the handmade product and should not be regarded as a defect. There may be deviations of a few centimeters in the size specifications.

OUTDOOR OBJECTS

OUTDOOR OBJECTS

SUNNY AND SAFE – IN ALL WEATHERS

The friendly figures and characters of the OUTDOOR OBJECTS ensure “fabulous” encounters in gardens and parks – in the true sense of the word. As if from another world chameleons, birds, armadillos, and all sorts of creatures appear – bringing a little piece of their world into our own. Whether it is as cheerful and lively wind chime, lustrous light object, or as a colourful sculpture made of glass and rusty steel, the OUTDOOR OBJECTS form a wonderful bond with their surroundings – inviting their owners to smile, dream and linger. These highly individual, happy visitors will enliven your garden or balcony and give your favourite spot a very special magic. The OUTDOOR OBJECTS are weatherproof and can stand outside all year long. All these art objects are handmade and hand blown with the utmost care.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When fixing your object, you should make sure that it stands securely and does not wobble or tip even in the event of wind or knocks. Use the mounting eyelets we provide for this purpose. Position your object so that it is safe from falling rocks or braking branches. Keep in mind that the objects are very heavy due to their quality and protruding parts (e.g. beaks, eyes, ears, tails, crowns) are not suitable as handles.
