Description

Colors of the Coral Reef

With their tall dorsal fins and elegantly curved contours, angelfish are among the most striking inhabitants of tropical coral reefs. ANGELFISH captures this distinctive silhouette and transforms it into a colorful glass object. The elegantly curved contours, the intense coloration, and the thick-walled glass combine to create a refined appearance. Depending on the angle of the light, shifting reflections and depth effects emerge in the glass, making the colors glow and underscoring the object’s precious character.
Standing 36 centimeters tall and 38 centimeters long, ANGELFISH draws the eye as a standalone piece. Arranged in pairs or trios, the objects create a striking spatial effect and become the sculptural focal point of their surroundings.

A fresh take on the beauty of tropical fish

Unlike many lifelike depictions of animals, ANGELFISH reduces the form of the angelfish to its essentials. The clean silhouette, decorative stripes, and harmonious color combinations give the piece a timeless appeal. The result is a work of glass art that fits seamlessly into both modern and classic living spaces and retains its charm even after years have passed.

For people with an eye for color and design

The minimalist, harmonious design and balanced proportions lend this stylish glass fish a timeless elegance that blends effortlessly into a variety of interior styles. Whether placed on sideboards, a spacious dining table, or windowsills, ANGELFISH serves equally as a work of art and a stylish eye-catcher.

The beauty of ANGELFISH is particularly striking when placed near a light source. As light passes through the colored glass, it creates fascinating reflections and a sense of depth that impressively highlight the exquisite character of the hand-blown glass.

Anyone who appreciates maritime motifs, high-quality craftsmanship, and exquisite home décor will find this glass fish to be a companion that continues to fascinate over the years.

A Fusion of Tradition, Craftsmanship and Innovation

Exclusive glass art from the Borowski glass factory

Each object shown here reflects the craftsmanship of our glassmakers. What appears lighthearted, playful, and full of color is in fact created through a demanding and often physically challenging production process. Today, only a small number of people and glass studios worldwide still master the traditional art of glassmaking.

At the Borowski Glass Studio, nearly all known techniques of hot and cold glassworking can be applied. This exceptional range of possibilities allows our artists to continuously develop new ideas and bring even highly ambitious, experimental visions to life in glass.

The brothers Stani-Jan, Wiktor, and Pawel Borowski learned to work with the blowpipe and molten glass from the ground up. While Wiktor primarily oversees sales, Pawel and Stani-Jan still work daily at the furnace in the glass studio themselves.

As each object is mouth-blown and traditionally handcrafted, slight variations in color, shape, and size are unavoidable. Small air inclusions in the glass are characteristic features of genuine handcrafted studio glass and should not be regarded as flaws, but rather as signs of its individual production process.

Studio Line

STUDIO LINE

More than a work of art ...

The objects in the STUDIO LINE collection transport the unmistakable artistic features and qualities of Borowski production into daily life. But they do not want to be satisfied with pure art at all: They are also candlesticks, fruit bowls, vases or paperweights.

They represent the vibrant, open art concept that is so typical for the work of the Borowski brothers. It goes without saying that each object from the STUDIO LINE is an individual piece and has been handmade with a great deal of love and attention to detail.
