Good day,
my temporary name is RHINO.
If you like this name, we can keep it.
Or I will receive a new individual name from you.
Either way is fine with me; I just wanted to introduce myself to you.
It is also important for me to tell you a little bit about myself. There are a few things you may not know about me.
I come from a very hot area. My head was almost 1200°C when it was shaped and the colored glass and gold leaf coating was applied. I’m quite robust by nature and I occasionally get the first small injuries from the rough handling of the glass furnace. I think that suits me.
My body of steel was also formed into a strong torso at high temperatures and under the influence of great forces. Initially, a wafer-thin, almost dust-fine rust appears on the surface. Occasionally it may look a little patchy, but over time and depending on the weather it will develop into a dense and even “rust skin” that gives me that certain something.
Initially, the rust can be washed away by precipitation and collect at the bottom. Therefore, please choose a location with a insensitive surface for me.
There is a light hidden inside me. Inner values are very important to me. The unobtrusive but atmospheric lighting expresses this well.
If I do not light up despite an existing electrical connection, the illuminant inside me must be changed. For this I am simply laid gently on my side in the grass or on a blanket. The base plate that is then visible can be loosened with a wrench. Then you reach the lamp.
It has two light sources, one of which is directed forwards and one that shines backwards. You open the corresponding side of the lamp to have access to the bulb.
If my face looks a little dusty and lackluster, I’m happy to be cleaned with a damp cloth. Silicone spray or matt glass coater (available from Glasstudio BOROWSKI) are a wonderful care and give my glass components a new velvety shine.
When I stand up straight in my place afterwards, I hope that you can see how happy I am!
Well, now I’ve said enough about myself. If you have any further questions, it is better to contact the BOROWSKI glass studio.
Yours, RHINO
