After many years, the time has come: with JAM SESSION, Stani Jan Borowski presents the first new work within the ART OBJECTS collection. And it is anything but a quiet beginning – it is an entrance with rhythm. Three stylized musicians, united in a vibrant composition, merge into a glass ensemble.
With a height of 55 cm, a width of 36 cm, and a depth of 15 cm, the jazz trio has an elegant vertical presence. The double bass rises powerfully upward, while the figures are arranged rhythmically around it, the musicians seeming to sway to the beat. The object feels like music captured in glass—dynamic, vibrant, and full of energy.
Music Becomes Form
JAM SESSION is not a literal depiction of a jazz concert, but an interpretation. Simplified faces, black hats, sweeping body lines in luminous colors, and the silhouettes of the instruments condense into a sculptural composition. The double bass forms the central axis of the sculpture, with the figures composed rhythmically around it. In the foreground, a stylized drum set anchors the scene. The result is a compact ensemble with palpable momentum.
Presence with Cultural Reference
JAM SESSION is not a neutral decorative object. The sculpture carries a clear theme: music, stage, improvisation. Choosing it means choosing a cultural reference – jazz as an attitude rather than background sound.
The piece works particularly well in interiors with clean lines, in collections of figurative art, or in spaces where individual works are deliberately staged. On a sideboard or in an open living area, the trio evokes a frozen stage moment – music translated into a sculptural statement.
