Light object | Special edition
With the style of action painting he developed, Jackson Pollock inscribed himself in art history and became one of the most famous American modern artists, in particular thanks to his large-format works using the drip painting process.
36 × 22 × 43 cm
Description

JACKSON – Not polished. Not well-behaved.

JACKSON is a playful homage to Jackson Pollock – the artist who didn’t paint color, but hurled it.
Action painting instead of stillness. Freedom instead of order. Expression instead of conformity.

That’s exactly what lives inside this glass bird.

The abstract color gradients echo Pollock’s famous drip paintings: wild, vibrant, full of motion. No clear pattern. No repetition. No “pleases everyone.”
JACKSON stands there, looks at you – and makes one thing unmistakably clear:
I’m not decoration. I’m a statement.

As part of the special edition ODD BIRDS, JACKSON belongs to a very particular circle:
Outsiders. Eccentrics. Strong characters. Figures that fell out of the nest of normality – and are fascinating precisely because of it.
They remind us that style has nothing to do with fitting in, but everything to do with attitude.

JACKSON is handcrafted in the Borowski Studio with great care and precision.
Each piece is unique. Every splash of color deliberately placed. A drip painting made of glass.
The result: Borowski quality with soul – visible, tangible, unmistakable.

Whether as a glowing art object indoors or an unexpected eye-catcher outdoors,
JACKSON brings more than light: it brings conversation, character, and a quiet smile into any space.

An object for people who dare.
And a gift – even to yourself – that isn’t adapted. But real.

The ODD BIRDS

Special edition ODD BIRDS

In the summer of 2019, Stani Jan Borowski’s ODD BIRDS hatched for the very first time from glowing glass. Year after year, another brood of charismatic characters followed — each one joyfully falling out of society’s nest of “normality.” Outsiders, misfits, black sheep, eccentrics who still found their way to fame. They captivate us, fascinate us and move us. Why? Perhaps because they remind us to stand by ourselves — and to walk our own path boldly.

Manual Work

Exclusive Glass Art from Borowski Glassworks: Tradition, Craftsmanship, and Innovation Combined

Each object shown here embodies the craftsmanship of our glassmakers. Behind each of the objects that appear so light, cheerful and colorful is a complex, often sweaty manufacturing process. Today only a few people or manufactories master the old, demanding craft of the glassmaker.

In the Borowski Glass Studio you can work with almost all known techniques of cold and hot glass processing - this enables the artists to realize challenging visions and constant new, experimental ideas.

The three brothers Stani-Jan, Wiktor and Pawel Borowski learned how to use the glass pipe and the glowing material from scratch. While Wiktor mainly takes care of sales, Pawel and Stani-Jan work in the factory on site every day at the glass furnace.

Mouth-blown and traditionally handcrafted glass objects may have minor color and shape deviations that are unavoidable for manufacturing reasons. Air inclusions in the glass are a sign of the handmade product and should not be regarded as a defect. There may be deviations of a few centimeters in the size specifications.

OUTDOOR OBJECTS

SUNNY AND SAFE – IN ALL WEATHERS

The friendly figures and characters of the OUTDOOR OBJECTS ensure “fabulous” encounters in gardens and parks – in the true sense of the word. As if from another world chameleons, birds, armadillos, and all sorts of creatures appear – bringing a little piece of their world into our own. The OUTDOOR OBJECTS create a wonderful link to their environment – inviting their owners to smile, dream and linger. These highly individual, happy visitors will enliven your garden or balcony and give your favourite spot a very special magic.

The OUTDOOR OBJECTS are weatherproof and can stand outside all year long. All these art objects are handmade and hand blown with the utmost care.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When fastening your object, you should make sure that it stands securely and does not wibble or tip over, even in wind or knocks. Use the mounting eyelets we provide for this purpose. Position your object so that it is safe from falling rocks or braking branches. Keep in mind that the objects are very heavy due to their quality and protruding parts (e.g. beaks, eyes, ears, tails, crowns) are not suitable as handles.
