FREDDY light object – Clear the stage
Freddie Mercury is considered one of the greatest live performers ever, someone who filled entire stadiums with his charisma. His look alternated between skin-tight costumes, white undershirts, leather jackets and those legendary performances with crown and cape. Our tribute to this great artist picks up on these special features: moustache, overbite, crown and red cape, just as he is probably remembered by many of his fans.
More than just a frontman
Freddie Mercury was not just the singer of Queen. He was voice, show and attitude all rolled into one. And the amazing thing: He was self-taught. No singing lessons, no classical training – everything he could do, he worked out for himself.
His variable, vibrato-rich rock tenor voice ranged over four octaves and still captivates people today. Style boundaries? Didn’t matter to him. Rock’n’roll, disco, funk, gospel, pop ballads, hard rock or musicals – he sang everything. When he met the Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé in 1987 and recorded the album “Barcelona” with her, one of the first major crossover projects in music history was born.
And he never stood still. Every phase sounded different, every development was intentional. An exceptional talent who set his own standards – and shifted them time and again.
Not made for the background
FREDDY looks for his place. Indoors, he creates a clear focal point in the room. In the garden or in front of the house, it works best where it cannot be overlooked – raised on a wall or at the entrance. In the evening, the light takes over. And whoever puts it down usually knows exactly why.
