STANISLAW BOROWSKI

When Borowski (born 1944) moved to Rheinbach in 1982, his career skyrocketed. Finally he was able to work, present his works in exhibitions and exchange ideas with other artists such as Pavel Molnár, Udo Edelmann, Gerd Kruft, Erwin Eisch and Jack Ink. He made a sensational breakthrough in the United States. The demand was so great that new production options became essential. Borowski found this temporarily in Hennef near Bonn, and since 1992 permanently in Bunzlau, Poland, where he built his own glass studio. Stanislaw Borowski is one of the most renowned glass artists in the world and is considered the undisputed master of engraving. Exhibition until August in Coesfeld Lette together with Pawel and Stani Jan Borowski. (Geldmann)

They share a common passion: glass. Stanislaw, Pawel, Wiktor and Stani Jan Borowski are the artistic core of a strong family that is closely interwoven with this material. They create and shape it into unique sculptures and fabulous figures. The glass works of art by Borowski are in museums and galleries, in parks and gardens. They can be found in collections as well as in the private sector. We were looking for traces at Gut Wintermühlenhof. (…)

ARTIST OF THE MONTH: STANI JAN BOROWSKI

15 Nov 2015
Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass

Stani Jan Borowski grew up around the studio of his father Stanislaw Borowski and was working in glass by age 12. Today, his sculptures often combine glass with other materials such as steel, bronze and wood. Stani’s works are inspired by nature – the material as well as by people and animals. They tell stories he often translates into funny compositions and characters that delight and entertain. Stani is represented by Continuum Gallery, Königswinter, Germany.
